It’s really proud times for Kaizer Chiefs. The club have unleashed the newest youngster and he’ll compete with Njabulo Blom.
KAIZER CHIEFS PROMOTE SAMKELO ZWANE
The newest homegrown talent out of Naturena shares a surname with his coach Zwane (no family relation).
The name is Samkelo Zwane and he made his first team debut against Stellenbosch FC last Sunday at the DHL Stadium.
Chiefs initially revealed the name among the substitutes that face Swallows FC last Wednesday, where Zwane was an unused substitute.
His dream came true when he was introduced in the 78th minute to replace Yusuf Maart.
He is a 20-year-old from Reimsug in Johannesburg and plays his football as a central midfielder that is more of a 6 than an 8 – meaning he will compete with Blom in defensive midfield.
In addition to his clean technical ability, the kid has great height and physical power.
The situation also means that the likes of Phathutshedzo Nange and Cole Alexander may be getting closer to the exit gate out of Naturena.
