Kaizer Chiefs are still keen on signing Salim Magoola from Richards Bay but they face competition from SuperSport.
KAIZER CHIEFS SHIFT FOCUS AWAY FROM NWABALI
Chiefs were reportedly interested in signing Nigeria and Chippa goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali. However, the 27-year-old, who was a standout performer at Afcon with the Super Eagles, would fetch a transfer fee of over R35 Million.
According to iDiski Times, Amakhosi are looking at the potential free transfer of Richards Bay keeper Salim Magoola. The Natal Rich Boys are struggling to fend off relegation this season. Magoola has kept only four clean sheets in 19 league appearances this term.
“SuperSport United and Kaizer Chiefs are amongst the sides mulling over Salim Magoola. He could be available on a free transfer.
Chiefs are looking to add an experienced stopper to their squad with Itumeleng Khune poised to retire.
Magoola who has emerged as one of the leading performers in the league alongside Ronwen Williams and Stanley Nwabali has naturally attracted interest from Amakhosi” they said.
