Kaizer Chiefs issue INJURY Update ahead of Soweto derby against Orlando Pirates on Saturday
The game will be televised on SuperSport DStv Channel 202 and SABC
At a press conference on Thursday, Chiefs coach Arthur Zwane understandably kept his cards close to his chest when discussing the injury status of both Bimenyimana and Khune.
“At the moment, we’re trying to look at how we can approach this game,” Zwane said during the pre-match press conference, as quoted by iDiski Times.
“Yes, we came into this week with a lot of knocks here and there. We’ll see who is available and who is not available. Tomorrow we will get the report from the medical team as to who is ready for Saturday.”
Some things are somewhat out of the control of Chiefs, but they will be desperately hoping that key striker Bimenyimana overcomes his injury issue, and then is able to rediscover a spark in front of goal.
Chiefs will also be praying to the football gods in hope that Khune can return to the team to provide leadership and experience for such a big game.
Khune has missed the last couple of games due to a niggling injury, and may still be on the sidelines by the time this crucial derby rolls around.
