ARTHUR ZWANE SAYS AMAKHOSI BEAT THEMSELVES
Speaking about the game after the final whistle, coach Zwane said Chiefs won the game before it started.
The former winger added to say Chiefs thought the game would be easy.
“Look I think we won the game before it started, you could see the way we started we were a big sluggish, we thought it was gonna be an easy game,” Zwane told SuperSport TV.
“And I had to jack them up at half-time to make them aware because let alone that we scored a goal, I think first-half we did not dictate terms, we gave them too much space on the ball, we allowed them to do whatever they wanted to do.
“We didn’t show any character and we know we should have done better. Had we applied ourselves correctly, put them under pressure. Force them to make mistakes.
“In the dying minutes look at how many chances we created in the second half. I believe had we taken two of them then we win the game, but once you don’t take your chances, then this is the story.
“But we have ourselves to blame here, this is one game we could have, you know helped us to keep our confidence sky high but we let ourselves down big time.
“That’s why I’m saying we won the game before it started, we let ourselves down, I hope we can learn from this that you don’t win games before we start playing,”
