Why Should Kaizer Chiefs Protect the Young Sensation known as Mduduzi Shabalala?
Kaizer Chiefs is well known for promoting and giving youngsters an opportunity to shine.
Kaizer Chiefs Youngster Mduduzi Shabalala had a slow start to his pro football career , despite securing his name in the record books of Kaizer Chiefs after becoming the first Youngster to score on his Debut.
Arthur Zwane was key in Mdu’s promotion , reason being Zwane is very much in love with the boy and he believes he has the potential.
Head Coach , Arthur Zwane stated Mduduzi Shabalala should be protected at all costs.This is what he had to say on the youngster in August 2022
“For Mduduzi, we know the mentality of these youngsters and what is happening where he comes from,” said Zwane.
“Most of us we were born and raised in Soweto. The mentality is that given praise too early makes these boys believe they have arrived.”
Zwane has displayed bravery by giving Shabalala a chance to play at such a young age and believes he is disciplined enough not to be disturbed by negative outside influences.
Mduduzi Shabalala got promoted to the Kaizer Chiefs senior team after his impressive season or rather say during his impressive season in the Dstv Diski Challenge.
Mduduzi wrecked havoc during the 2021/22 Dstv Diski Challenge and his hard work got rewarded by a 3 year deal with the first team.
Shabalala didn’t waste anytime in getting the Kaizer Chiefs Record books as he scored his debut goal in his debut match in the PSL.
After that Night The Youngster won many of the Chief’s fans hearts.
Shabalala known as “Mdu or Die” has 2 years remaining on his Contract with Amakhosi and will be looking to make it worth the stay in the next two seasons.
