Following a disappointing start to the season, TS Galaxy FC and head coach Sead Ramovic have mutually agreed to end their partnership. The decision comes after the team’s 1-1 draw against Stellenbosch FC, which highlighted the struggles they’ve faced this season.
Ramovic, who expressed gratitude for the opportunity to coach the club, announced his resignation during a post-match interview on SuperSport TV. “TS Galaxy will always hold a special place in my heart, but I’ve decided to step down and spend time with my family,” he said.
Initially, Ramovic’s arrival brought optimism due to his international experience and clear vision. His commitment to possession-based football and youth development showed promise. However, injuries, transfers, and lack of cohesion hindered progress.
Despite challenges, Ramovic adapted his tactics, achieving crucial victories and narrowly missing a top-eight finish. His focus on promoting youth and local talent was a highlight.
With only 2 points from six matches this season, the decision to part ways was deemed necessary. Ramovic expressed pride in his accomplishments, calling his three-year tenure “the most beautiful thing” and praising South Africa’s people.
Players attempted to convince Ramovic to reconsider, but ultimately, the decision stood.
