Tranfsers between Orlando Pirates, Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns are always dismissed, until they happen. Is Lorch next?
Daring drama has happened at Orlando Pirates before. Thembinkosi Lorch moving to Kaizer Chiefs or Mamelodi Sundowns would not be the first staggering transfer.
ORLANDO PIRATES: THEMBINKOSI LORCH KEEPS MYSTERIOUS ABSENCE
So the Sea Robbers initially reported that Lorch suffered an unnamed injury against SuperSport United on 21 August.
The question marks and eyebrows started to rise whenever coach Jose Riveiro has given updates
While the Spaniard has given a bit more details on the injuries of players like Paseka Mako, Evidence Makgopa, Richard Ofori, and Kermit Erasmus, there have been no details on Lorch.
The Pirates coach has been asked about Lorch on two occasions, in August, he simply said “he’s not available.”
In October, Riveiro said: “Well, he hasn’t been available for the last one and a half months, I think, after the SuperSport United game.
“I hope he’s going to make it soon. We spoke about what happened in that game already.”
Mmh, really? The name of the injury has also not yet been confirmed.
IS LORCH MOVING TO SUNDOWNS OR CHIEFS?
We’ve seen a movie like this before. Remember the events leading up to Oupa Manyisa and Teko Modise’s moves from Pirates to Sundowns?
Was Erasmus’ move back to Pirates last month part of a swap deal that will see Lorch depart to the champions in January?
You just can’t put anything past Pirates and Sundowns.
Nevertheless, this is all pure speculation and guessing. Lorch could be back for the Buccaneers as soon as this weekend to face Sundowns.
