Kaizer Chiefs have officially announced the appointment of Nasreddine Nabi as their new head coach, signing him to a two-year contract with an option to extend for an additional year.
This strategic move comes as Chiefs aim to end their nine-season trophy drought, with their last silverware being the league title in the 2014/15 season. The club\’s Chairman, Kaizer Motaung Jr., has expressed great confidence in Nabi, believing he is the right man to restore the club to its former glory and fulfill the vision of returning Amakhosi to the pinnacle of South African football.

Nabi, a well-traveled Tunisian coach, has brought along an experienced technical team to support him in this endeavor. The team includes first assistant coach Khalil Ben Youssef, second assistant coach Fernando Da Cruz, goalkeeping coach Ilyes Mzoughi, and strength and conditioning coach Safi Majdi.
This newly formed technical panel has already started their work with the squad, joining Chiefs in their preseason camp in Turkey. They are diligently assessing the current state of the playing squad and devising new methods and strategies to steer the team towards success.
Nabi, 58, joins Kaizer Chiefs after a successful stint with Moroccan side AS FAR Rabat, where he guided the team to a runners-up finish in the league, securing qualification for the CAF Champions League. His impressive track record includes winning two league titles, showcasing his ability to lead teams to success.
In a statement, Motaung Jr. emphasized the club’s commitment to unity and support for Nabi and his team, highlighting their shared goal of bringing glory back to Chiefs.
