Former Stellenbosch FC midfielder, Sibongiseni Mthethwa, may be on his way out of Kaizer Chiefs after just one season, insiders reveal. Sources close to the club suggest that the arrival of Inacio Miguel, who can play both in defence and midfield, has lessened Mthethwa’s importance at the club.
45min sources also say Mthethwa might be loaned out to make room for players like Yusuf Maart, Samkelo Zwane, Edson Castillo, and Miguel. Chiefs are reportedly looking for a team to take him on loan before the transfer window closes at the end of the month.

“The technical team has drawn up a list of players who could be loaned out, and Mthethwa is one of them. The coach wants a smaller, more competitive squad, and Mthethwa isn’t part of his plans this season,” said one source. “Players like Christian Saile, Wandile Duba, and Zitha Kwinika are also on that list.”
A second source revealed that two clubs have already shown interest in Mthethwa. “If Chiefs decide to loan him out, finding a club won’t have any problems. Two teams have already inquired about his availability,” said the insider.
