Kaizer Chiefs To Sell Their R30 million Playmaker To Get Two International Players With The Money?
Kaizer Chiefs are reportedly still interested in signing Bafana Bafana’s attacking midfield duo Oswin Appollis and Elias Mokwana.
This move is seen as part of the club’s efforts to inject dynamism into their attack ahead of the new season.
45min.co.za has highlighted that Chiefs are keen on strengthening their squad under the new management of Nasreddine Nabi, and bringing in talented players like Appollis and Mokwana could play a crucial role in achieving their objectives.

“As things stand, Amakhosi are pushing to secure the services of Oswin Appollis and Elias Mokwana from Polokwane City and Sekhukhune United respectively.
It’s understood that the new Amakhosi technical team would like to have the two players on board and management is tasked with ensuring that the players are on board for the start of the new campaign in August, though it will be easier said than done, considering both players have attracted interest and have increased their respective values while playing for Bafana Bafana.
Chiefs need to inject some youth into their winter window drive. So far, the Glamour Boys’ recruitment team has focused on trying to lure experienced goal-getters to the club.
Players like Lebo Mothiba, Tumisang Orebonye, and Fiston Mayele have all been mentioned, although none of these pursuits have borne fruit yet. Mayele is 30, while Orebonye and Mothiba are 28.

This indicates Chiefs’ desire to get proven marksmen in the door. With doubts continuing to hover over the future of versatile attacker Ashley Du Preez, the club will need wide players too. That’s where Mokwana and Appollis come in.
Sekhukhune want R15 million for their star winger, while Polokwane City could probably ask for a similar figure were they to sell 22-year-old Appollis, who’s ostensibly a wide player but equally comfortable in central areas as a number 10.
