Kaizer Chiefs are close to securing their first signing with Amakhosi management focused on ushering in the new era of talent.
Donny Jansen is close to finally joining the first team.
Moreover, the talented DDC attacker is likely set to join the senior side on a long-term deal.
CHIEFS CLOSING IN ON JANSEN’S SIGNATURE
Jansen has been linked with Amakhosi for several seasons. However, her is yet to sign a first team contract. This comes despite impressing management for several seasons and even practicing with the senior side.
He has been preparing to make the step up for the past few seasons. In fact, he was on the brink of finally joining Amakhosi’s first team before he was served a four-month suspension by the PSL. Furthermore, Jansen and his former teammates Omega Mdaka and Push Dithejane have both left the club since the incident accord. Whilst, Jansen has stayed and now he is on the brink becoming a senior player.
“They are looking at next season already and they want to keep as many youngsters from their development as they can. So for Donny (Jansen), it’s a four-year contract which will apparently run from July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2028,” the insider reported on SoccerLaduma.
DAWN OF A NEW ERA AT NATURENA
Next season, Amakhosi will have a new coach, captain and a very different looking squad.
As things stand, FIVE players are heading out of Naturena. Additionally, several players contracts are coming to an end. Therefore, the next coach will determine the future of these EIGHT players.
Meanwhile, Amakhosi management is focused on developing their young players and keeping as many of them at the club as possible. So, we will be seeing a couple of players promoted over the next few seasons. Exciting times ahead, Amakhosi.
