Chiefs are indeed making efforts to secure the services of two Bafana Bafana internationals. This move aligns with their strategy to bolster the squad for the upcoming season under the guidance of new coach Nasreddine Nabi.
The club’s management is determined to support Nabi in his quest to end the team’s nine-season-long DStv Premiership title drought. The exact identities of the targeted players have not been disclosed yet.
Chiefs are currently in Turkey where they are being hosted for their pre-season, stepping up preparations for next season.
Chiefs Begin New Era
Kaizer Chiefs have embarked on a new chapter under the guidance of head coach Nasreddine Nabi. Initially, pre-season training was led by trusted assistant coach Fernando Da Cruz.
Upon Nabi’s arrival last week Sunday, he took over the reins and has since intensified training sessions. Nabi is currently assessing the squad, evaluating the players at his disposal, and making strategic plans to strengthen the team for the upcoming season.
So far, there has only been one new signing that has traveled with Chiefs, in Bongani Sam. The left-back has been signed by arch-rivals Orlando Pirates. He will be looking to take over from veteran left-back Sifiso Hlanti as the club’s first choice. Besides that, Nabi will be assessing three youngsters from the DStv Diski Challenge side. Siphesihle Tati, Nkosana Mbuthu and Manqoba Ozoemena.
Now according to closesource, Chiefs are hard at work, however, trying to secure the services of two Bafana stars. These are Oswin Appollis and Elias Mokwana.

“As things stand, Amakhosi are pushing to secure the services of Oswin Appollis and Elias Mokwana from Polokwane City and Sekhukhune United respectively.
It’s understood that the new Amakhosi technical team would like to have the two players on board and management is tasked with ensuring that the players are on board for the start of the new campaign in August, though it will be easier said than done, considering both players have attracted interest and have increased their respective values while playing for Bafana Bafana.” Wrote the publication.
This publication reported that Chiefs made a R12 million bid for Mokwana, with Sekhukhune United holding out for R15 million. It is expected, however, that Polokwane could want a similar fee for Appollis, which could ultimately cost Amakhosi R30 million! Would it be worth it Khosi fans?
