The captain of Stellenbosch and defensive mainstay Deano Van Rooyen, in Khanye’s opinion, ought to be signed as a top priority.
“Defensively I think Kaizer Chiefs should sign Stellenbosch captain Deano Van Rooyen. He is the only other right-back who can compete with Khuliso Mudau at Bafana Bafana,” Khanye said on iDiskiTV.
“I don’t understand why he is not in the squad instead of Nyiko Mobbie. Chiefs need a player like Van Rooyen. He is very quick, very good at recovering when not in possession, and he has proven himself as a trophy winner.” Khanye added.
