Josef Zinnbauer Raja Athletic Club head coach, has opened up about his rival in the Moroccan League, Nasreddine Nabi, who is also linked with the Kaizer Chiefs job. Zinnbauer mentioned that Nabi is eager to join a club with big ambitions.
Nabi, who has been heavily tipped for the Amakhosi coaching position, recently confirmed he received an offer from Naturena, but added that it’s not the only club interested in him.
Speaking to iDiski Times digital editor David Kappel, Zinnbauer, who narrowly beat Nabi to the Botola Pro League title, shared his thoughts on Nabi. He described him as the toughest opponent he faced this season.

The former Orlando Pirates coach noted that while it’s not crucial for the Tunisian coach to join Kaizer Chiefs, he’s looking for a club where he can secure titles. “I can only say he’s a nice guy,” Zinnbauer told iDiski Times. “We’ve met and respect each other. He’s a good guy personally, and as a coach, his CV shows he’s won many titles, so he must be good. Our matches against him were tough tactical battles. They were the hardest games for us and the best way to measure ourselves.”
Zinnbauer added that for Nabi, it’s not about joining Chiefs specifically but finding a club where he can win trophies. “I think he’s always keen on titles. We might face each other again in the Cup final soon, as both our teams are in the semi-finals. It could be our next battle,” he concluded.
