Nasreddine Nabi, the soon-to-be head coach of Kaizer Chiefs, is already scouting new players for the team. Currently, he is leading AS FAR Rabat, but he’s keen to bring some familiar faces from Morocco to strengthen the Chiefs squad once he takes over.
Nabi’s Strategy: Reinforcing Chiefs with AS FAR Talent
Nabi, known for his keen eye for talent and tactical know-how, aims to make an immediate impact by bringing in players he trusts. His plans include scouting talent from his current club, AS FAR Rabat, to enhance the Chiefs’ performance.
Tumisang Orebonye’s Possible Move
There’s a buzz around Tumisang Orebonye, a striker from Botswana, potentially joining Kaizer Chiefs. Orebonye, currently at AS FAR Rabat, might follow Nabi to South Africa. Sources close to the club suggest that Orebonye, who moved to AS FAR earlier this year from USM Alger in Algeria, is nearing the end of his contract. This could make him available for a free transfer to Chiefs.
“It was Nabi who brought Orebonye to AS FAR initially, and he rates him highly,” said a source from Soccer Laduma familiar with the negotiations. “There’s a good chance Orebonye will join Chiefs on a free transfer since his contract in Morocco is almost up.”

What Orebonye Brings to the Table
Tumisang Orebonye is celebrated for his strong presence on the field and his knack for scoring goals. His playing style has drawn comparisons to Belgium’s Christian Benteke, known for his time at Liverpool and Crystal Palace. Orebonye’s physicality and goal-scoring ability could be just what Chiefs need to boost their attacking line.
“He’s a powerful striker, although there have been occasional concerns about his off-field behaviour,” noted the source. “His playing style is similar to Benteke’s, and he could be a game-changer for Chiefs if they secure his transfer.”
With Nasreddine Nabi set to become the new head coach and the potential signing of Tumisang Orebonye, Kaizer Chiefs are on the brink of an exciting new chapter. The addition of Orebonye could be pivotal in reshaping the team and achieving success in the upcoming seasons.
