Fortune Makaringe, a former Orlando Pirates midfielder has found a new home with Cape Town City after agreeing to terms with the club.
On Tuesday, Pirates confirmed the departure of Makaringe, 31, who spent four seasons with the team. The former Maritzburg United player made over 145 appearances and scored 10 goals for the Buccaneers. His last competitive match for Pirates was in December, where he assisted in a 3-2 loss to Stellenbosch FC. His final goal for the club came in a 3-1 defeat against SuperSport United, also in December.
During his time with the Pirates, Makaringe won three MTN8 titles and two Nedbank Cup trophies. However, his contract expired, and the club chose not to renew it.

According to iDiski Times, the Johannesburg-born midfielder has now agreed to terms with Cape Town City and will join them as a free agent. Makaringe previously worked with City coach Eric Tinkler at Maritzburg United during the 2018/19 season before moving to Pirates.
Cape Town City has been active in the transfer market, with new signings like Hashim Domingo, Kamohelo Mokotjo, and Carlinhos set to join the team. Meanwhile, Jo Paciencia and Relebogile Mokhuoane will be leaving the club.
