Bernard Parker spills beans on unpleasant Chiefs exit

Bernard Parker revealed,“I was told to go on holiday and then come back and tell them [Chiefs] what I want to do.” Despite complying with the directive, he faced silence from the club, prompting him to make crucial decisions for the well-being of his family.

The man affectionately known as ‘Die Hond’ further unveiled that his departure mirrored that of other players who left Chiefs under similar circumstances.

Surprisingly, there was an expectation among departing players that Parker would continue his association with the club in a different capacity. Expressing his astonishment at the unfolding events, Bernard Parker remarked, “Even I was surprised with how things ended at Chiefs.”

Despite acknowledging feeling wronged by Chiefs, the former Bafana Bafana international emphasized that he has moved beyond the episode. In his words, “I acknowledge that I was done wrong at Chiefs, but I moved on.”
