Kaizer Chiefs might be feeling the sting of regret as they watch coach Nassredine Nabi‘s success elsewhere. The decision to pass on Nabi could haunt them as the season progresses. Nabi came with an impressive track record, having won the league and the FAT Cup twice, and finishing second in the CAF Confederation Cup.

However, negotiations hit a snag when Chiefs refused to allow Nabi to bring his own technical team, including his assistant coach, fitness coach, and goalkeeper coach. Despite Nabi’s efforts to compromise, Chiefs cited existing contracts and the cost of termination as reasons for their decision.
Subsequently, Chiefs made changes to their coaching staff, with Arthur Zwane being demoted to an assistant role and Molefi Ntseki taking over as head coach. However, Ntseki’s tenure was short-lived, marred by fan violence following a series of mixed results.
Amidst this turmoil, Nabi found success elsewhere, joining Moroccan club AS FAR. Currently, he is leading them in the title race, ahead of powerhouse teams like Wydad Casablanca and Raja Casablanca.
