Kaizer Chiefs have to organise a new parking lot at Naturena. Thatayaone Ditlhokwe is coming to start his career as a Glamour Boy.
Kaizer Chiefs have 99 problems, but central defence is not one of those. Thatayaone Ditlhokwe is coming to Naturena.
KAIZER CHIEFS SIGN THATAYAONE DITLHOKWE FROM SUPERSPORT UNITED
As 45min previously reported in recent months, Amakhosi scooped the Botswana international on a pre-contract.
The 24-year-old will join the Soweto giants after 87 appearances in the Premier Soccer League with Matsatsantsa a Pitori.
BRING ON THE PRESSURE
Speaking to the media at SuperSport’s end-of season awards on Monday, Ditlhokwe was asked whether he is prepared for the high-pressure conditions of playing as a central defender at Chiefs.
“One thing I can tell you is that I am a national team player and captained my national team at the age of 21,” Ditlhokwe said, as quoted by Soccer Laduma’s Delmain Faver.
“So I don’t think there’s pressure that can come more than what I already passed through.
“It’s a normal challenge that every player goes through, and for you to grow, you must have challenges. You need to be tested. It’s a big test, I know, but at the end of the day. I will manage the way I always have.
“As a player from Botswana, my ambition was to come and play in South Africa, then do my level best and come out of South Africa, do my best in each and every game, and then leave South Africa; that’s my aim,” he added.
