Kaizer Chiefs will be without rising star Mfundo Vilakazi for their upcoming clash against Mamelodi Sundowns on September 28. The 18-year-old has been called up to the South African U20 national team for the Cosafa U20 Championships, which will take place in Mozambique from September 25 to October 5.
Vilakazi’s absence is a blow for the Glamour Boys, especially with a packed Premier Soccer League schedule ahead. Coach Nasreddine Nabi will need to rely on the rest of his squad as they prepare for the crucial match against Sundowns.

Amajita coach Raymond Mdaka announced his squad on September 17, and the team will head to camp on September 22 to get ready for the tournament. Despite some clubs not releasing key players, Mdaka is confident that his team can deliver a strong performance.
While Vilakazi’s national duty takes priority, his absence will be felt on the pitch as Chiefs face tough competition in the coming weeks.
