Kaizer Chiefs veteran Sifiso Hlanti has an offer on the table for a one-year contract extension, but there’s a twist.
According to @UnplayableZA on Twitter, 33-year-old left-back Hlanti has an offer on the table to extend his current deal, which expires at the end of this month.
However, the offer being proposed is significantly lower than his current terms. It’s unsure whether Hlanti would be willing to take a pay-cut to remain at Naturena at this stage of negotiations.
With Siyabonga Ngezana and Erick Mathoho already having left the club, Chiefs could do without losing another experienced head at the back.
They’ve signed Thatayaone Ditlhokwe and Given Msimango, but there’s no real depth at left-back. Losing Hlanti would mean an immediate need for a replacement in his position.
