Kaizer Chiefs’ recruitment team is not sleeping. Coach Arthur Zwane has offered an update on a potential new striker.
Arthur Zwane‘s new Kaizer Chiefs is still set for several changes.
The Amakhosi coach has confirmed an active search for a striker.
KAIZER CHIEFS TO SIGN A STRIKER IN JANUARY?
This is probably what the fans want to hear. Zwane has almost assured a new striker is coming to Naturena.
This follows after the club released Samir Nurkovic and Leonardo Castro before replacing them with just one striker in Caleb Bimenyimana.
Ashley du Preez was also signed as a center forward before he was found to be a better fit in the wide positions at Chiefs.
“We are profiling a lot of strikers at the moment, so [hopefully] we get the one that we need and will fit in our way of play,” Zwane said as quoted by 45min.
AMAKHOSI LOSE BIMENYIMANA – NEW STRIKER URGENT
Most Kaizer Chiefs fans must have read the disappointing report by now. Bimenyimana is said to be out with a thigh injury.
According to the report, the 24-year-old Burundian center forward will be missing from action for around a month.
It is believed that the Chiefs leading goal-scorer has suffered a thigh injury after last weekend’s 2-1 loss to Chippa United.
“SABC Sport has learnt that Bimenyimana, who is currently tied at the top of the league’s goal-scoring charts on six goals with the reigning PSL footballer of the season and Mamelodi Sundowns striker Peter Shalulile, is suffering from a thigh injury and will not play any further part in Amakhosi’s campaign until the domestic game returns after the 2022 FIFA World Cup at the end of December,” the report by the SABC’s Mazola Molefe said.
