Kaizer Chiefs’ iconic figure, Donald ‘Ace’ Khuse, might just find himself back in the fold as a potential head coach for the club. The Amakhosi, grappling with disappointing results this 2023/24 season, are eyeing coaching changes, possibly waving goodbye to interim coach Cavin Johnson.
The recent 2-0 loss to Chippa United further fueled the frustration among the club’s faithful, prompting talks of an overhaul at the season’s end.
Sources close to the matter revealed that Khuse’s representatives are contemplating proposing his services to the club. They believe that Khuse deserves a shot, possibly working alongside another legend like Arthur Zwane.

“Ace Khuse’s camp sees him as the right man to steer the club out of its current woes. His previous stint as Chiefs’ coach was fruitful, and they reckon he understands the club’s ethos better than anyone,” the source disclosed.
Chiefs have witnessed a revolving door of coaches, yet the desired results remain elusive. According to the source, this could be attributed to a lack of alignment with the club’s philosophy. Khuse, on the other hand, is perceived to possess an innate understanding of the team’s culture and principles.
As the season draws to a close, all eyes are on whether the Amakhosi hierarchy will heed the calls to bring back the legendary Ace Khuse to chart the team’s course to glory.
