Franck Kessie’s agency published a statement on social media to deny rumours of his departure from Barcelona.
According to several reports in Spain, Franck Kessie could leave Barcelona in the summer transfer window as the Catalan giants need to reduce their wage bill.
However, the Ivorian’s agency have denied rumours of his departure on social media. The 26-year-old will continue playing in La Liga next campaign.
They specifically spoke to Spanish journalist Gerard Romero and told him to stop publishing “unsubstantiated and misleading information” on social media.
“Dear Gerard Romero, we have remarked for the umpteenth time that you have published unfounded news concerning one of our clients [Franck Kessie].
“Despite ourselves, we inform those who follow us and above all those who follow you that you have never once given exact information regarding Kessie. Ethically we find that it’s a totally wrong way of doing one’s job,” they continued.
“So please stop publishing unsubstantiated and misleading information presented as news regarding our client.”
