Benfica made the signing of Angel Di Maria official on Wednesday. The Argentinian player ends his time at Juventus and returns to the Portuguese club, where he played between 2007 and 2010. He signs until 30th June 2024.
Angel Di Maria is already a new Benfica player. The Argentinian wants to live one last dance in Lisbon, where he played between 2007 and 2010. That was the step prior to his signing for Real Madrid in exchange for 33 million euros.
The Portuguese club announced on Wednesday the agreement with ‘El Fideo’, who signs for one season until 30th June 2024. In this way, the former Juventus player will have the opportunity to play in the Champions League.
Angel Di Maria returns to Lisbon’s Estádio da Luz after joining the ‘Vecchia Signora’ for the 2022/23 season, which came seven seasons after playing for PSG.
In response to the news, Benfica also announced on social media that the winger’s presentation will take place on Thursday next to the statue of Eusebio, which reigns in the vicinity of the Eagles temple.
