As the 2024 CAF Awards approach, South African goalkeeper Ronwen Williams is filled with pride and excitement after being nominated for three prestigious awards: Interclub Player, Goalkeeper of the Year, and Player of the Year.
Reflecting on his journey, Williams stated, “It’s been a wonderful year for me. I’m looking forward to the CAF Awards ceremony tonight. It’s a proud moment to be recognized among the best.”
Williams also expressed his hopes for the evening, sharing, “While I’m honored to be nominated for these awards, I am particularly looking forward to the club of the year and national team of the year awards. South African football has had an amazing year, and we have worked hard to put ourselves on the map. I hope and pray that Mamelodi Sundowns wins club of the year and that Bafana Bafana earns national team of the year.”
