Manchester United midfielder, Casemiro, spoke about Leo Messi in an interview with ‘Placar’ and discussed the star’s role in football history, where the Argentinian has “marked an era”.
Brazilian midfielder, Carlos Henrique Casemiro, was full of praise for Leo Messi when he discussed the Argentinian in an interview with ‘Placar’. The former Real Madrid star felt his former Barcelona rival “marked an era in football”, and said “you can only admire him” for his presence and passion.
“Messi has marked an era, you can’t deny it. He was always an opponent, with Barcelona and Argentina” but “for anyone who likes football, they like Messi. It was a pleasure to play against him. He’s the kind of guy you can’t say enough about, you can only admire him”, declared the Brazilian.
The current Man United star said that although he did not “have the pleasure” to see Diego Maradona or Pele play, he was able to enjoy seeing Messi, Cristiano and Neymar.
“They’re the three biggest stars of my generation. I saw Ronaldo (Nazario), Zidane, but from my era those three are the best. I never played against Cristiano, thank God he helped me win lots of titles [in Real Madrid]”, he said.
