Liverpool are continuing their midfield reinforcement attempts as they have met with the representatives of RB Leipzig’s Dominik Szoboszlai, but the 22-year-old has a hefty price tag attached.
Liverpool’s summer mission to boost their midfield continues. According to ‘The Athletic’, the Reds met this week with the representatives of RB Leipzig’s Dominik Szoboszlai, as they begin discussing a potential move.
The Hungarian was a key fixture for Leipzig last season, making 48 appearances for the club and scoring 10 goals. The outlet reports that he is the latest attacking midfield option being looked at by the club, and fits the profile of the players they would be looking for.
The German side value him highly however, and his release clause stands at €70 million, and it is reported that it expires earlier than previously thought, on the 30th June. This means the club would need to make a decision, and fast, as the move would require some fairly heavy spending.
Other Liverpool options include Khephren Thuram and Romeo Lavia, who could join Alexis Mac Allister – signed already from Brighton – in the Reds’ midfield next season.
