Kaizer Motaung Jr has dropped the biggest HINT that Kaizer Chiefs will NOT be signing outgoing Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Andile Jali.
Jali’s contract with Sundowns expires in June, and having had disagreements since February, the midfielder decided not to set foot at Chloorkop.
Chiefs were among many PSL clubs reported to be interested in the 33-year-old, but that may never happen if Motaung Jr’s comments are to be believed.
In an interview with Thabiso Mosia on Game On, Motaung Jr admitted that Chiefs were once interested in Jali but that was when he returned from Belgium.
Jali would join Sundowns on a free transfer at the time, and the Amakhosi Sporting Director said they have moved on from wanting to sign him.

“Andile Jali is a great player and he was a player we were interested in when he came back from Europe but the linking part now is where the confusion is,” said Motaung Jr.
“In football things happen and at the time he went to Sundowns and that’s now history,” added Motaung Jr.
