Kaizer Chiefs began the first phase of their rebuild at the end of the previous season and are set to undergone the second phase of it soon.
Since taking over at Chiefs, Arthur Zwane and his leadership team have been hard at work trying to reset the mentality and playing style of the club
At the end of the previous season, Chiefs made a massive clear out, getting rid of some experienced players, some of which had not been able to lead Amakhosi to any silverware during their lengthy stays at the club.
It is expected that they will also undergo a similar exodus that could see several players forced through the exit door.
NEW CHIEFS DEAL FOR DOLLY?
“He is left with one year on his contract. He signed a three-year contract when he joined in 2021 and that’s why they’re offering him another two-year straight and one-year option.
Now the new contract will see him stay at the team until 2026, with an option (that could keep him) at the team until 2027.
It’s not a done deal yet because his agent is currently out of the country. But I think all will be concluded before the end of the season.
They are avoiding a situation where he becomes a free agent if they don’t renew it on time”. Said the source to the same publication.
