Nasreddine Nabi, newly appointed as Kaizer Chiefs’ head coach, has reportedly urged the club’s management to sign Fiston Mayele, a prominent striker known for his impressive performance in the Tanzanian Premier League with Young Africans (Yanga SC). Mayele’s goal-scoring prowess could significantly enhance Chiefs’ attacking strength.
Kaizer Chiefs have finally announced the appointment of Nasreddine Nabi as their new head coach ahead of the next season.
Chiefs finally confirmed the worst kept secret of the window, with Nabi officially meeting his players in camp on Sunday.
In an appointment that has been a longtime coming, Chiefs finally got their man. This time last year, there was optimism that he would take over from Arthur Zwane as the new coach. But because they couldn’t agree on the make up of the Tunisian’s backroom staff. On this occasion, however, Amakhosi were not willing to take any chances.

Nabi has since joined up with Chiefs in Turkey, where the journey can finally begin. He will also find some familiar faces in the club’s camp in Europe. These in the sense of assistant coach Fernando Da Cruz and goalkeeper coach Ilyes Mzoughi. The duo had already been at Naturena for two weeks, putting the returning squad members through their paces. There is also the new conditioning coach Majdi Safi.
Furthermore, the tactician will be arriving with other members of his new technical staff in second assistant Khalil Ben Youssef, and performance analyst Ayman Makroud. Now through their social media, Chiefs have announced the Nabi deal. That in itself shows that the club is looking to back him all the way.
This publication also reported that Chiefs will try back him in the transfer market too. Now according to African football journalist Mickey JNR, Nabi will now try sign his former striker at Yanga FC, Fiston Mayele.
