You can ask us to delete your 45Min Football account and the personal information linked to it at any time. This page explains how. It also serves as our data deletion instructions for Google and Facebook sign-in.
What we delete
- Your account, name, email address and profile picture
- Your favourite team, saved stories and preferences
- Your newsletter subscriptions
- Your comments (or we remove your name from them, if you prefer)
- Data we received from Google or Facebook when you signed in
We may keep a small record that a deletion took place, and anything the law requires us to keep.
How to request deletion
- Fill in the form on this page, or email creators@45min.co.za with the subject “Data deletion request”.
- We'll email you to confirm the request comes from you.
- We delete your data within 30 days and send you a confirmation with a reference number.
If you signed in with Facebook
- On Facebook, go to Settings & privacy → Settings → Apps and websites.
- Find 45Min Football and select Remove.
- Then request deletion using the form here, so we also delete the data we hold.
If you signed in with Google
- Go to your Google Account → Security → Your connections to third-party apps & services.
- Select 45Min Football and choose Delete all connections.
- Then request deletion using the form here.
