Kaizer Chiefs Face TS Galaxy Amid Injury Crisis
Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi is set to navigate a challenging Betway Premiership fixture against TS Galaxy at Mbombela Stadium on Monday afternoon. The Soweto giants are reeling from injuries to six key players, further complicating their bid to bounce back from a 2-0 defeat to Polokwane City last weekend. Kick-off is at 15:30.
Attacking midfielder Gaston Sirino, goalkeeper Brandon Petersen, and left-back Bradley Cross have been ruled out after sustaining injuries during the Polokwane match. They join Nkosingiphile Ngcobo, Edson Castillo, and Dillan Solomons on Chiefs’ growing injury list. With a squad stretched thin, Nabi faces a tough task to put together a competitive lineup capable of earning three points.
Chiefs’ recent loss has left them sitting in ninth place on the Betway Premiership table with just 11 points from eight matches. A win against Galaxy is crucial to revitalizing their campaign and restoring confidence in a team struggling with consistency.
However, TS Galaxy presents a formidable challenge under new coach Adnan Beganovic, who has guided his side to an unbeaten run since taking over from Sead Ramovic. Galaxy’s disciplined defense and counter-attacking style have earned them two wins and a draw in Beganovic’s three matches in charge.
To counter Galaxy’s momentum, Chiefs may rely on the likes of Bruce Bvuma in goal, Given Msimango in defense, and the youthful energy of Mduduzi Shabalala in attack. Ranga Chivaviro
