A former Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper, Sanele Tshabalala, has sealed a deal with Mamelodi Sundowns after months of training with the club.
Following his departure from Moroka Swallows at the end of the 2022/2023 season, Sanele Tshabalala sought an opportunity at Sundowns. Reports from Transfrmarkt indicate that the 26-year-old, formerly of Pirates development, joined Sundowns in August 2023. However, Soccer Laduma previously noted his efforts to secure a contract with the club as recent as February this year, when he was spotted training with the first team at Chloorkop.

Despite uncertainties surrounding his future with Sundowns, the former Chiefs star Sanele Tshabalala has seemingly inked a deal with the club. His presence on the bench during Sundowns’ DStv Premiership match against TS Galaxy suggests a formal agreement. The match ended in a 1-1 draw, with star striker Peter Shalulile equalizing Puso Dithejane’s opener, extending Sundowns’ unbeaten league run to 29 matches this season.
