A dramatic twist has emerged in the transfer saga involving AZAM FC’s prized asset, Feisal Salum. According to sources close to the Tanzanian club, Salum is likely to leave AZAM FC this summer, with Kaizer Chiefs emerging as a potential suitor.
The 26-year-old midfielder has been a key player for AZAM FC, and his departure would undoubtedly be a significant blow to the club. However, it appears that AZAM FC is open to selling Salum, provided they receive a suitable offer.
Kaizer Chiefs have reportedly made contact with AZAM FC, with discussions centered around several players and possibilities, including Salum. Although no official bid has been submitted yet, the interest from the South African giants is clear.
In January, AZAM FC opted to retain Salum, who has 18 months remaining on his contract. However, the club’s stance has seemingly shifted, with an inside source revealing that AZAM FC would prefer not to sell Salum to a Tanzanian rival.
“If it happens that we sell him, it won’t be in Tanzania,” the source disclosed. “We cannot give our direct competitors a weapon.”
