Zwane says they delayed signing him because they were still considering other options.

‘WE’RE NOT DESPERATE’ – ZWANE

“We spent three weeks with Caleb [Bimenyimana] and we were impressed but we didn’t want to rush into things because we were still looking,” Zwane told journalists at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.

“We are avoiding a situation of this quick-fix thing that you maybe bring in a player because of maybe desperation, we’re not desperate.

“You could even see today, yes even if we didn’t have number 9 but we look we can come up with something and our players as well they must know that we gonna have to improvise because there will be games where you have number 9, he gets the red card and what do you do.

“Gone are those days of number 9s, once you have a front three, any of the front three can play as a number 9 or one of them can play as a false 9 because that’s where the game is going when you look at all the top teams.

“And yah, we believe that Caleb [Bimenyimana] is gonna help us because he is the type of the striker, when you want him on top he does that, when you want him as maybe number 10, he has the quality to help us.

“That’s why we had to wait for the right moment and be sure as to whether he’s the right player for us.”
