The club was hoping to bring in Thatayaone Ditlhokwe, but SuperSport United held onto the player. Amakhosi also expressed interest in Cape Town City attacker Mduduzi Mdantsane but were unable to secure his transfer. The only player the club managed to sign during the January transfer window was Congolese striker Christian Saile Basomboli.
The team is currently facing challenges with multiple key player injuries, including Khama Billiat, Nkosingiphile Ngcobo, and Reeve Frosler, but Zwane doesn’t want to dwell on what could have happened during the transfer window. He believes the focus should be on the next game and the remaining games of the season.
Zwane stated during a Nedbank Cup press conference that although injuries are inevitable in football, he would not want to worry about what they could have done in the transfer window, but instead focus on the playing personnel they currently have.
