Recent speculation surrounding the future of Orlando Pirates winger Monnapule Saleng has been addressed by the club in a statement. Saleng’s absence from training sessions sparked rumors of unrest, with some media outlets suggesting he was unhappy with the club’s decision to reject an offer from a Saudi club.
Orlando Pirates legend Lebohang “Cheeseboy” Mokoena weighed in on the situation, advising Saleng to refocus and let his performances on the field do the talking. “Performing on the field, that’s how you do your talking. Not outside, not by not going to training, not by giving an attitude at training,” Mokoena said.
In a bid to quell the speculation, Orlando Pirates released a statement denying reports of an offer from a Middle Eastern club for Saleng’s services. The club also dismissed claims of a meeting between an agent and a “high-ranking” Pirates official to discuss Saleng’s availability.
