Kaizer Chiefs is actively seeking new defensive talent, specifically a left-back and a left-sided central defender.
Their primary target is a versatile player named Cross, who can play as a left-sided center-back or left-back. The Chiefs are closely monitoring Cross's progress at Arrows, contemplating whether to secure his services in January or at the end of the season. While Cross is the main focus, the club is also considering alternative options.
In other news, the Chiefs are preparing for the potential departure of Sifiso Hlanti, whose contract expires in June 2024. Hlanti, a regular starter since joining in October 2021, has attracted interest from overseas clubs.
To mitigate the impact of Hlanti's exit, the Chiefs are actively searching for a suitable left-back replacement. The club aims to ensure a smooth transition in their defensive lineup as they strategize for the future.
Stay tuned for updates as Kaizer Chiefs navigates the dynamic landscape of South African football, shaping their squad for upcoming challenges.
