Kaizer Chiefs R3 MILLION star targetted by Soweto rivals!

Kaizer Chiefs have already let go of 13 players. However, their firing and hiring is far from over with this R3 MILLION fan-favourite linked with a move to their Soweto rivals!

Arthur Zwane and Dillon Sheppard still have a few tricks up their sleeve when it comes to squad changes.

With just over a month left of the current transfer window, Amakhosi could release several more stars. This includes this R3 MILLION man while they are also on the brink of making their latest signing!

Happy Mashiane is linked with a move to Moroko Swallows after they recently approached Amakhosi, according to Phakaaati.

The Dube Birds approached Chiefs for the defender. However, Chiefs are reluctant to let Mashiane go.

Mashiane is in search of regular game time which he is not getting at Amakhosi. Therefore, he is open to the move or at least leaving Naturena.

“Happy is willing to go. He wants to play and he is not getting a chance. He thinks that going on loan will work out and give him a chance to show his worth,” the relevant source stated on the same publication.

He would certainly be somewhat of a blow to Amakhosi as he currently provides back-up on attack and defense for them.

Mashiane has struggled to find game time recently. Stuart Baxter did not utilize his services while Zwane and Sheppard seem to prefer him on the reserves too,

The Thembisa-born star made over 20 appearances for Chiefs during the 2020/21 campaign. Proving instrumental in their historic run to their maiden CAF Champions League final.

Unfortunately, it was in this match against Pitso Mosimane’s Al Ahly (at the time), that he received a red card for a reckless challenge. The card seemed to do more than send him off the pitch that day. He has not been a part of the regular starting XI since then.

Mashiane is filled with potential and talent but he is underappreciated by Amakhosi’s management. For the sake of his career, he needs to find a new club if he is to get regular starting time.
