Chiefs Delighted as Key Player Joins Squad for Clash Against CT City

Kaizer Chiefs are filled with excitement as a key talisman returns to the squad for their upcoming match against Cape Town City on Tuesday night in Soweto.

Chiefs are set to face CT City in an important DStv Premiership match at the FNB Stadium, hoping to build on their previous triumph. Last Wednesday, Amakhosi secured an incredible comeback to overcome Sekhukhune United 2-1.

This is the second meeting between the two teams this season, with Chiefs defeating City 2-1 in the MTN8 Cup quarterfinals.

The Chiefs have got a huge boost as they prepare for Tuesday's match against the Citizens, with the inclusion of a player who had been sidelined owing to a long-term injury.

The 30-year-old has undergone training over the past few weeks and even participated in friendly matches during the recent international break. In fact, three weeks ago, Chiefs coach Molefi Ntseki suggested that his return was imminent.

“Keagan Dolly just played his first 45 minutes when we played a friendly,” Ntseki told media. “… It’s not going to be just a quick return to play. I think he’s still going through his ‘back-to-play’ protocol – tactically and physically.

“But I think mentally, he’s very strong. He looks sharp in terms of his tactical understanding of the game. Hopefully, he will be available for selection in the next week or so.”

Dolly's return is expected to deliver a significant boost to Kaizer Chiefs, given his vital role at the Soweto-based club. With 14 goals and 10 assists in 59 games for Amakhosi, he is poised to bring some much-needed creativity and flare into the Chiefs' offensive efforts.

His influence extends beyond the field, as he is a leader in the Chiefs' locker room, having already led the club the previous season. His return could not have come at a better time for the Chiefs, who are now sixth in the DStv Premiership rankings.

Dolly's participation is expected to improve their campaign and strengthen their position in the league, as they have 11 points from their first eight games, with three victories and two draws.
