This season, Arthur Zwane's Kaizer Chiefs have met five opponents that were one man short at the end of the encounter.

The five games against Marumo Gallants, Stellenbosch FC, Golden Arrows, TS Galaxy, and Orlando Pirates all took place in the DStv Premiership. In those five games, the Chiefs struggled to finish the game, managing three victories and two ties.

Zwane has mentioned that one troubling aspect that gives him a headache is his team's inability to defeat opponents when they are outnumbered.

Zwane believes that since they frequently practice such drills in training, teams that have received a red card may find it difficult to control the game.

“It’s really not [difficult], but obviously, it’s worrying me a bit. I don’t know why, even though at training at some point we try those functional sessions or drills,” Zwane told the media.

“[We try] to make sure we explore the right places at the right time, just to draw them where we can create more goal-scoring opportunities.

“It’s a case of mindset now to keep in doing it. When they are one man down, let’s pile pressure on them. Let’s not take the foot off the pedal.”

Zwane also stated why most of the teams get red cards when they are playing against Chiefs.

“All these teams that end up with a man down, it’s because of the pressure that we put on them, and we force them to make mistakes,” he added.

In order to place second on the log and advance to the CAF Champions League the following year, the Glamour Boys' next task is a road trip to Durban, where they will take on Richards Bay FC on March 4.
