Zwane Comments On Chiefs’ Forgotten Wonderkid

Kaizer Chiefs' wonderkid has been absent from the team since September 2022, leading to concerns among fans about his whereabouts.

Sabelo Radebe was promoted to the club's first team under former coach Gavin Hunt in 2021 after impressing in the DStv Diski Challenge. However, he has only made 13 appearances over three seasons, a worrying statistic for the talented midfielder.

This season, Radebe has played just 48 minutes of football, which has fueled speculation that he may be sent out on loan to gain more game-time. Speaking at the Wanderers Country club, Kaizer Chiefs head coach Arthur Zwane addressed Radebe's absence and reassured fans that the midfielder would get his opportunity to play.

"I think I know Bibo better than any of us. Unfortunately, he hasn't been himself at training, trying very hard and working very hard," said Zwane. "Anytime soon, he'll get his opportunity. As you know, in terms of results, we've been blowing hot and cold, so we're also trying to get the combinations right with injuries here and there. I think Bibo will also get his chance when the time comes."

Kaizer Chiefs fans will undoubtedly be hoping that Radebe gets his chance to showcase his talent soon, as they look to improve their performances on the pitch. Whether that will come in the form of a loan move or increased playing time at the club remains to be seen, but one thing is for sure: Radebe's potential is undeniable, and he has a bright future ahead of him.
