Pitso Mosimane plans to help Gavin Hunt win Champions League.
Pitso Mosimane is willing to help SuperSport United win the continental competition.
If there is a South African coach who knows how to win a trophy, it is Jingles Mosimane.
The 58-year-old serial winner, who has three Champions League titles to his name, is looking to share his winning secret with fellow South African coaches.
COACH PITSO’S KIND GESTURE TO GAVIN HUNT
Mosimane would be happy to help Hunt win a trophy next season.
Hunt was the coach of Kaizer Chiefs when they made it to the final. He was shown the door before the final. They lost 3-0 at the hands of Mosimane’s Al Ahly.
Mosimane had won the title before with South African club Mamelodi Sundowns in 2016 before moving to Egypt for Al Ahly.
Hunt, the longest-serving coach in the league, is on the verge of getting into the competition with SuperSport United.
Mosimane believes that SuperSport can win the title if they beat Kaizer Chiefs and Pirates to second place and qualify for the playoffs.
GAVIN HUNT CAN WIN CAF CHAMPIONS LEAGUE
The tactician who was born in Kagiso holds Hunt in high regard, having competed against his teams for years in the PSL.
“Off-season, I will host you for lunch and plan for Caf Champions League,” Mosimane said in response to Hunt’s congratulatory message on social media.
Mosimane was voted the Saudi First Division’s coach of the month in February after guiding Al Ahli Saudi to some strong performances.
“I know you can win it [Champions League], why not?” added Mosimane. “You have been in this tournament many years, and you understand it well. Just a courtesy lunch and a catch up meeting also.”
