Target Luke Fleurs is lost for Chiefs.

Luke Fleurs, a defender for SuperSport United, was reportedly very interested in joining Chiefs early in 2019.

Even more recently, rumors suggested that there was a good chance the two teams could come to a deal while he was still under his initial SuperSport contract.

SUPERSPORT UNITED CEO HAS CONFIRMED THAT HE IS NOT GOING ANYWHERE

Although there is an intriguing clause in a new long-term deal, SuperSport United CEO Stan Matthews has instead announced that the club has retained the services of the young star in an exclusive interview with SABC Sport.

"I can tell you that Luke has recommitted his future to SuperSport by agreeing to a three-and-a-half-year deal. It’s good news, and we have told the player we will not stand in his way if a good opportunity comes along,” Matthews explained.

“The club has inserted a local and international buy-out clause should there be an offer we believe makes sense for the club and for Luke.”
