Pule Mmodi’s future at Arrows

Vusimuzi Vilakazi, the co-head coach of the Golden Arrows, has commented on Pule Mmodi's ambition with Abafana Bes'thende.

Mmodi has been one of the main topics of transfer rumors throughout and after both transfer windows since the beginning of the season.

There have been reports that his likely destinations include the Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs and AmaZulu.

Following his first two impressive seasons with Arrows after joining from the lower-tier team Uthongathi FC, Mmodi attracted a lot of attention.

On June 30, his contract will end, and given the current state of affairs, it doesn't appear that he will stay with the team after that date.

Vilakazi praised the athlete for maintaining his form while being distracted by rumours.

Despite the fact it would be beyond of his control, he believes Mmodi is a soldier he'd like to have in the upcoming season.

PULE MMODI'S FUTURE WITH GOLDEN ARROWS IS DISCUSSED BY VUSIMUZI VILAKAZI

“As a player, I like Pule and I’d love to have him at anytime because he’s working very hard for us,” said Vilakazi.

“Even now, we’re seeing speculations about him [set to leave] but he’s still working very hard.

“So, he’s a player when you’re thinking of people who will fight for you, he always raises his hand to say I’m available.

“So, we will see what happens…if we have Pule next season, we would be happy with that.”

Mmodi continued to put on outstanding performances in the yellow and green shirts after grabbing attention, particularly in the season's first round.

In all tournaments, he has not missed a single game that the Arrows have played. In his 30 career games, he has also contributed three assists and six goals.

If Arrows are unable to keep him, he will be a free agent as of July 1.
