Orlando Pirates have told their scouts to work even harder to locate a goalkeeper before the current transfer window closes.
According to Phakaaati, both Bucs management and scouts are looking for a new goalkeeper.
If everything goes as planned, a new keeper may therefore be moving to Mayfair in January.
"The scouts are now working overtime to try and identify a keeper who can solve this problem. They have even been given the green light to look beyond our borders for the right man, They want a keeper who will come in and take command of the position and bring the required confidence to the whole team”. confirmed the club insider.
The management is not, however, letting people like Siyabonga Mpontshane and Sipho Chaine go; rather, they need more.
"(Siyabonga) Mpontshane is good but you can see that age is catching up and he is very low on confidence, while Sipho (Chaine) still has some way to go before he can be a regular,” the source added.
