The administration of Kaizer Chiefs is thought to be split over Njabulo Blom's condition since some want to give in to his requests. Others, however, believe that by doing so, a poor precedent would be established.
At Amakhosi, Blom is currently negotiating a contract extension. However, the club believes that his demands are unreasonable and that they cannot comply with them. According to a source, some management members want the situation resolved quickly and have suggested giving Blom what he is requesting to put in other alternatives since then 45min football has now been told there's a potential swap for Luke fleurs, which could see Njabulo Blom joining supersport in exchange for luke fleurs.

The source explained that if they do, "the concern is that others may also come with big demands in the future, which may financially destroy the club." Blom will be eligible to sign a pre-contract elsewhere by January, and the club will lose him for free at that point. "But on the other side, they do not want it to go bad because we all know how it would end. He might be compelled to depart at that moment, which would be terrible for the team and the organization.
Blom might join SuperSport United, according to a different source, if they agree to swap him for Luke fleurs.
