After spending a week on trial with the team in May of this year, Kaizer Chiefs winger Mduduzi Shabalala left a favorable impression at Villarreal, Kaizer chiefs may have to deal with the young star after the world cup.
During his time in Spain, the 18-year-old participated in training sessions with the Yellow Submarine reserve squad, which competes in Primera Division RFEF - Group Two, the third division of Spanish football.
Senegalese attacker Boulaye Dia, Nigerian Samuel Chukwueze, Ivory Coast captain Serge Aurier, and Algerian defender Aissa Mandi are just a few of the African players who play for Villarreal in their first team.

Shabalala’s trip to Belgium for assessments at second tire side KVC Westerlo in Belgium has proven to be a very huge success with reports emerging from Belgium that the player might be handed a big contract at his tender age, but it was suggested that he is more likely be placed in the u21 side in Division B, with being said Kaizer Chiefs could be handed with an offer for the player in the next transfer window.
