Gavin Hunt responds to rumors about Blom

Gavin Hunt, the head coach of SuperSport United, has responded to rumors that his team is interested in signing Njabulo Blom, whose contract may expire before the end of the current campaign.

After his agency disclosed that negotiations between the club and Blom's side had reached a snag, the former Kaizer Chiefs youth product has not yet extended his contract with the Amakhosi.

The Glamour Boys will work with Blom to find a solution, Bobby Motaung insisted, but nothing has happened since.

Blom has recently been linked with teams like Mamelodi Sundowns and SuperSport, and he may sign a pre-contract in January. Despite liking the player,

GAVIN HUNT STATED HE WON'T COMMENT ON THE RUMORS.

“He’s contracted to Kaizer Chiefs, so I can’t really comment at the moment,” he told Robert Marawa on Marawa Sports Worldwide.

“Look, I would really want to sign any good player. He is a player that I worked with before, I know him very well, converted him from a right-back into a central midfielder, which is always been his best decision, that’s only my opinion.

“But he is under contract, so I don’t know what’s transpiring. I don’t like to get involved in situations like that.

"If it arises and there is an opportunity, yes, we would love to work to do something with him.

“When I worked with him I liked him from day 1. He has those qualities that I like.”
